The focus of the Society is the preservation of artefacts of historical significance relating to fire-fighting services in the Canberra region over a many number of years
The Fire Brigade Historic Society of the Act was formed in 1979, and is located in the historic Forrest Fire Station, 4 Empire Circuit, Forrest. (Between Canberra Ave and Fitzroy St), Forrest, Canberra.
The Museum is open to the public most Saturdays 10am till 2pm, and all are most welcome. A donation of a gold coin is always most gratefully received and helps keeps the various projects operating
We have a number of restored fire appliances currently on show, dating from 1913 through till the mid 1980s. Others are in storage due space constraints
